Return & Refund Policy

All products sold by Jack and Jane, LLC are intended exclusively for in-vitro research and laboratory use. Due to the nature of research chemicals, strict return conditions apply.
1. Return Eligibility
Jack and Jane, LLC accepts returns within 30 days of the original delivery date, subject to the following conditions:
- Products must be unopened and in their original factory-sealed packaging
- Products must be unused and in resalable condition
- All original labels, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and documentation must be intact
- Products must not show signs of tampering, damage, or improper storage
2. Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of research chemicals and the strict quality control standards required, the following items cannot be returned:
- Opened or unsealed products
- Products that have been used, opened, or otherwise altered
- Products with broken or missing seals
- Products returned without prior authorization (RMA number)
- Products returned after the 30-day return window
Once a product seal has been broken, we cannot verify the integrity or purity of the contents and therefore cannot accept a return.
3. Restocking Fee
A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount on all approved returns. This fee covers the cost of inspection, reprocessing, and quality verification required for returned research materials. The restocking fee does not apply to items that were damaged or incorrect upon delivery (see Section 6 below).
4. How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, you must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before shipping any products back to us. Returns sent without an RMA number will be refused.
To request an RMA number, contact us at hello@jackandjane.com with the following information:
- Order number
- Product name(s) and quantity being returned
- Reason for return
- Photos of the product(s) showing sealed and intact condition
Once approved, you will receive an RMA number and return shipping instructions. The buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part.
5. Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect the returned product(s), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed as follows:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days of approval
- The 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer
Please allow additional time for the refund to appear on your statement depending on your financial institution.
6. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive a product that is damaged during shipping or is incorrect (wrong item or wrong quantity), please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@jackandjane.com. Include the following:
- Order number
- Clear photos of the damaged or incorrect product(s)
- Photos of the shipping packaging
- Description of the issue
Damaged or incorrect items will be replaced at no cost to the buyer. No restocking fee applies in these cases. We may require the damaged product to be returned before a replacement is shipped.
7. Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product, please initiate a return for the original item and place a new order for the desired product. Standard return conditions and restocking fees apply.
8. Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled free of charge if the cancellation request is received before the order has been shipped. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and must follow the standard return process outlined above. To request a cancellation, contact us immediately at hello@jackandjane.com with your order number.
